This is in my rotation of “fast-post-gym-snacks”. They take about a minute to make and tick all the boxes: carbohydrates, fats and protein. A great post workout refuelling snack that also looks pretty impressive. Try different toppings and experiment with other nut butters if you like – pretty much anything goes with these!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, cut lengthways
  • 1/3 mashed avocado
  • 1/2tsp chia seeds
  • 1tsp almond butter
  • fresh berries
  • flaked almonds
  • (plus honey if you like)

Method

Serves 1

  1. Mix the avocado with the almond butter and chia seeds.
  2. Spread the mashed avocado equally over the split banana.
  3. Top with fresh berries, flaked almonds (plus honey if you like)
